motherboard not fitting in case :(

so i just ordered some new stuff for a computer, trying to install my motherboard - gigabyte p31-ds3l

my problem is coming because the case i ordered is a rosewill

the problem is when i install the risers on the case the motherboard nowhere near lines up with the bracket in the back it only lines up if no risers at all are used, what are my options to keep it off the metal and still fit the back panel or should i just forget about the back panel as i can make it fit without it on.

never seen bumps like these where the mounts go, not sure if I'm not seeing something.... thanks
 
You might want a seconed opinion on this, but it looks to me like that case doesn't need risers because it looks like it has risers built into the motherboard tray, in a way...

did you install the new I/O panel that come with the motherboard?
 
looking at some pictures of your case, does your I/O shield even come out? It looks like it's actually part of the case, which I have never heard of before. I hope I am wrong about that.
 
yes the i/o shield comes out and i also agree it looks as if the tray has built in risers but its still metal just coming to form a bump so its still gonna conduct electricity which would be bad...or so i think
 
The case probably has built-in risers, so you don't need to install risers. My friends used a case similar to that and the metal didn't do anything bad.
 
so ill just screw the risers ontop the motherboard into the case bumps? this seems like the most likely answer thus far

thanks everyone so far more input would be nice to be sure i don't fry it...haha whats neweggs return policy on burnt motherboards? :P

oyah and the case only came with 3 risers if thats a hint at all, tried using different sized risers from old pc's as well all to no avail
 
You dont use riser with that case, you just screw it down but, if any of the risers dont match up with the mounting holes on the board make sure you put a piece of electrical tape over it or something thin insulating so it wont ground out to the bottom of the board.

The extra risers are for where theres screw holes in the mounting plate where theres not a riser, in case your board has a mounting hole there.
