Motherboard/processor compatibility question

Hi everyone.
I am looking to upgrade my cpu on my computer, but I am not sure what my motherboard is compatible with. I know I want to upgrade to some variation of a 6 core by AMD.

The motherboard I currently have is
Intel Corporation D915GSE2 AAC85223-105

I honestly have no idea how old it is...

well that is a little bit older of a board, and also it is an intel lga775 socket, so no amd's will work with it. also i can't find what all it supports, so there is no guarentee that you can even get a quad core in there, and if you can they are all extremely overpriced.

A 915 chipset board won't support any quadcore cpu's. You will need a new system unfortunately.
