Motherboard question

I have a DFI LanParty NF4 motherboard and I was wondering if i could replace my nvidia 7800gtx (PCIE) with an ATI 4870 HD (PCIE 2.0). I'm worried that my motherboard might not support PCIE 2.0

as far as i know it will just run as pci express x16
