howdy, i have an old piece of crap pc and i recently talked my parents into getting dsl but i dont have a nic card. So before I go out and buy one i need to know what form factor or whatever my m-board is. Can someone plz tell me a way to identify it? Its probably an AT or so ive been lead to believe....
plz help >.<
 
What kind of PC is it, and what is the model number? That shouldn't matter anyway as long as you have a PCI slot you can throw a nic card in there.
 
The formfactor for a mobo doesnt affects its compatability with NICs :) Worst case, get a USB one .. now if in fact you DO have a board using say, ISA slots, then dont waste your time .. internet browsing will probably stress the machine out too much
