Motherboard VS. Graphics card

Hey there,

I got an M4A78 PLUS Motherboard. http://www.pugetsystems.com/parts/Motherboard/Asus-M4A78-Plus-6335

I'd like to know what are the best supported Graphics cards for it.
I would use it for 3D applications, like 3DSMAX.

If you could give me several options, that would be great.

Currently I have an NVIDIA GeForce 9500GT / 1GB DDR2 VRAM, which is too weak for 3DSMAX.

GeForce GTX 560 Ti or higher should do or if you want a Radeon a 6870 or higher.

what's your budget? Are you willing to pay heaps for a dedicated modelling card, or go for the cheap option and get a card for gaming?

budget: if I can get it for a 100 bucks used, that would be great.

I don't need the best graphics card actually.. I need a card that can handle Photoshop's 3D application with ease. I'm guessing I need more dedicated memory.

My current card (NVIDIA GeForce 9500GT) has 1GB DDR2 VRAM, it still works but it chokes after few effects (lights, textures etc.)

So something around $100 used with a reasonable amount of dedicated memory. Any ideas?

Also, which website would you recommend to buy computer parts online? (for brand new or used products)

maybe try get a 5770 or something like that, they rock for the price. It's got the same amount of memory (1gb) but it's got a faster memory clock and a better architecture.

if you want something to work with photo shop programs, then an nvidia card will be what you want to be looking at, not amd/ati. maybe this:
