The mobo I'm talking about is the one in the sig. Everytime I shut down my computer, not restart, I have to open the side panel and turn on the motherboard via the power button on the motherboard. I hate doing this and I can't find anything on whether I am shorting something durning shutdown or if this is just the way the motherboard is. Any help?

I take it your power button doesn't work? lol Could possibly be that your connection from motherboard to power button is loose or something.

well, I can turn the computer off using the front button...just can't turn it on. I've checked the connections a couple times and I just can't figure out if I have something wired wrong or what?

I'd still try another switch if possible. Though I once had a power supply that caused similar problems. When I shut the computer down, the only way to power it back up was by flipping the switch on the power supply off then back on. Then it would power right up using the case button.

pull off the connector for the case switch, then take a screwdriver or a jumper and touch those same two pins together for a second and it should start up. touch the wrong pins and your mobo is fried, for the record, so be careful.
