can you mount it any way? idk how to describe it, but is there only one way the heatsink can touch the cpu or can you rotate it 90 degrees?

You can mount it however it suits you just make sure you put thermal paste between the cooler and CPU ;). It is also depending on space your motherboard has got near your CPU socket.

you have to mount it in a way that the fan lead can reach the cpu fan connector on the motherboard and i always try to mount mine facing the back off the case so the fans are blowing the hot air out of the case and as last post always use a good thermal paste and try to cover the cpu thinly and evenly across the whole surface also to note cpu coolers with a copper base are best.
