finally, i have found the root of my mouse freeze.
i have searched on google and found the exact problem to mine..but no solution
i am begging that someone help me solve the problem.

the mouse freeze is due to windows media player 11. wmplayer.exe runs everytime in the task manager when there is a mouse freeze, when wmplayer goes away, the mouse freeze also goes away.

i have monitored this instance like 20 times, so i m sure thats the way it goes...
i heard there is a virus called Agobot-Bm Worm associated with the wmplayer.exe, i am not sure

if you know anything, please do help me out!!! i have reinstalled my system many times...

P.S.for the IRQ post i have posted a week earlier, i called gigabyte and they said a DS3 is normal to have serveral things on one IRQ.

I guess you could download AdAware SE, AVG, all the programs you can find. Maybe one of them will remove it. Or could you just switch media players? I much prefer VLC over WMP.

thanks for your replies. i have avg, trend micro, avast, ad-aware, spybot, ccleaner, and things like that, none of them can detect it...

btw, i m in vista, so i cant delete media player.. it wont let me even delete the folder....

what is troubling me is that why is there the same "virus" everytime i reinstall? is it possible the virus is immune to formating? ( i formated like 10 times)..

thanks a lot

It is probably not a virus in that case, it is probably a USB mouse driver if all that is occuring is the mouse freezes, does the keyboard still function when the mouse freezes? If so, get a usb to ps2 adapter and use the mouse as a ps2 mouse it will solve a lot of problems.
