!?!?!Mouse freeze!?!?!

My mouse works and then freezes for like 2 seconds and comes alive again and works for a m inute and then freezes again for like 2 secs.. I done everything from lowering accel rate to reinstalling mouse drivers and even canceling each process at a time to see if anyone of them are conflicting... please dont tell me its one of those unfortunate problems that could only be solved by reformatting..

Also, did you by chance unplug any ide device while your comp was still on?

The absolute first thing I would try is using a different mouse. It turned out I had a dodgy mouse, I ended up buying the Microsoft Intellipoint Wireless Optical Mouse 2.0, and they work perfect! 2 AA batteries, and it lasts for 6 months!

That's a very good mouse, I had one before I upgrade to my Logitech MX1000
