mouse is playing up

Hi,
My brother has an explorer mouse for bluetooth, and when he plays Age of Empires III and Age of Mythology, it doesn't work properly... the pointer is only visible when he moves the mouse... i think that it might be a problem with the drivers, but i thought i'd check with you guys before i did anything...

did you install the mouse software? Does it comes with it? Or did you plug the mouse in the right place. Some mouse is an usb cord.
 
Its a wireless mouse for bluetooth, so if it wasn't connected properly he wouldn't be able to move it... there is no problem with the connectivity, it just plays up when in one of those games... the pointer is only visible when the mouse is moving.
 
My guess would be that its something to do with the In-game graphics settings.
Does it still happen if you use a wired mouse? does it happen outside of the game?
 
yeah, same thing with a wired (USB) mouse... but only in the games. it even happans when the games graphics settings are at their lowest!
i really cant understand whats happening
