Mouse Issues

I have a wireless Logitech LX 710, keyboard and mouse combo. The keyboard is 100% fine, but the mouse is acting up. The cursor moves around the screen, sometimes fast, other times slow in all different directions. Sometimes it even clicks and opens things up. This is the third time ive written this, because it close the page the last two times. This is the second time its happened. The first time I unplugged the USB antenna this it uses and the next day its fine. THis time however, I've unplugged it and restarted my computer and its still messed up. Sometimes It seems like its better than out of nowhere it starts moving again. I know its no batteries, because even if the mouse is off, the cursor still moves. As long as the USB thing is plugged in. When i pull it out, the cursor stops, but that also disconnects my keyboard. Ive had this since Christmas and this is the second time. Is something wrong with it? Ive had wireless mice before and have never seen this before. I cant find a fix. Please suggest something to fix it. If you think I should return it then please tell me. THanks

Well, since it is wireless the problem is almost certain to be with the connection.
The mouse is most likely getting radio frequency (rf) interference. Most wireless mice operate in the 27 MHz frequency range. They have an effective range of about 6 feet. There could be another mouse close by. Look in the user manual for the mouse and see if it says how to change the channel over which it is communicating. You could also try pressing the button on the reciever and then on the mouse and keyboard. The type of mouse could also cause this. Optical mice can behave strange when there is light shining on the mouse pad/desk. If the mouse goes crazy in the evening or when there is light in the room it could be that.
Hope this helps.

I figured it out. How do you change channels? My brothers mouse affects mine, but my mouse doesn affect his computer unless its close by. I guess my reciever has better range.

Yours might have better range, yes... You usually change channels by pressing a button either on the mouse or the mouse's receiver.
