Mouse problem - not in sync...

My Microsoft Laser Mouse 6000 is not completely in sync with my hand movement. I've tried to delete and reinstall mouse driver, without any luck. It isn't very much, but it still bothers me though when gaming. I don't believe it has anything to do with the mouse itself, since I've plugged in another mouse which did the same. It must have something to do with the settings in windows, somehow, but I'm not sure, and I've tried anything so far I could come to think of.

Suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Weird... what exactly do you mean by out of sync? Is it delayed when you move it, or does it move in a slightly different direction? Either way, I would think it might be a problem with your mouse. Have you tried it on another computer?

I pretty sure it isn't the mouse, since I've tried with another mouse which did the same. By out of sync I mean that it just doesn't accelerate according to my hand-movement. It is VERY little, and it doesn't bother me in out in Windows, on the internet and so on, but it still makes gaming FPS difficult. As far as I can remember it begun right after having reinstalled counter-strike 1.6. But all the settings ingame are as they should be, and I have even reinstalled cs 1.6 several times...

Try enabling/disabling USB Legacy Support in the BIOS settings. It may help.

Or just get a PS/2 mouse. They don't have these issues.

I assume you've been into Control Panel / Other Hardware / Mouse and adjusted the pointer speed ?
