Mouse Problems

On my system occasionally the mouse gets disabled, I end up pulling the ps2 connector out momentarily and plugging it back to restore it.

I am running Xp
Tried various mice, usb, ps2, optical all result with same problem.

Anyone experience similar problem?

You've tried every mouse type? And had the same problem with all of them?

When I installed my G11 Keyboard which is USB, I left my mouse in a PS/2, because it had the adapter. Upon Start-up the mouse wouldn't respond so, I just had to remove the adapter and use USB, and no problems yet. Even with XP, I didn't install any drivers.

I had the USB mouse initially when the problem started, now I am using the ps/2, its annoying half way through typing the mouse locks up!

But somehow it restores it self when I pull it out and replug it.
Does it share its intrupt settings when other device?
