Movie playing problems

Hi I just joined the forum and I have a problem.

The problem is with some of the movies I play. Basically what happens is the image will freeze but the sound and the movie will continue to play, the only way the image refreshes is if I move the movie along or restart the movie but the image will freeze again and again thorought the duration of the movie.

I did download a codec package and that seemed to help for a while but now not.

Does anyone know how to help please? Could it simply be bandwith issues?

Thankyou, compromp. :)

Might be codec or might be display drivers... Can you tell us what PC/laptop you are using?

What software are you using to play the movie???
Is it a DVD or a movie file of your hard drive???
Also, what codec package do you have???

Thanks,

Cohen

If you are just putting a DVD in your Machine and watching it from there, i would check if the disc is scratched or something like that, if you are playing a movie from your HDD, it may depend on what you are using to play it, other than taht all i can think of is maybe a driver problem, check your graphics

The problem occurs with some movies I stream from the web in WMP or Real. Sorry I didn't state that in my original post.

My codec package is K-lite.

Thanks again for the replies.

I doubt that cybereclipse...

Basically what happens is the image will freeze but the sound and the movie will continue to play

I would try the DivX codec first.

If that does not fix it try updating your display drivers.

EDIT: If you do download the drivers confirm you have 32bit vista and a 7600GS graphics card as there are a few different revisions of the MT1900.
