movie problem

everytime i try to play a movie that is is encoded with the mpeg4 codec it always turns into blakc and white and not color. However, i download a video on a p2p client and if i play the video with that movie player, everything is in color, but when i go over to WMP it is in black and white. Also when i try to convert a video from WMV(plays in color) to an .avi (with DIVX) and Mpeg4 codec, it plays in black and white. Does anyone know what the problem is

i played it in the divx player and its in full color so i'm guessing its wmp problem

I found the problem. In WMP under Tools>Options>Performance>Advanced it was on video acceleration with "use video mixing renderer" i turned it off and it worked. I guess that was overruling the DIVX codec.


now it works
