Is it leagal to take a windows from one PC to another, if I erase the OS completely on the old PC?
Someone gave me a laptop, and it looks like it is unstabile, fans not working and stuff like that, and it is old too. It has a geunine windows xp pro that it was upgraded with. Can I just install it on another PC and call MS and get it activated without having to beg them?
Recently, it seems like MS have gone completely mad with the restrictions.....just because 1 or 2 people within the last decade hade "accidently" installed their friends windows OS on an extra PC, so that they could email their old sick grandma, who lived far far away and was so poor she had no phone.........
