Im having a bit of trouble on mozilla thunderbird, what do i do when it says enter the name of your incoming server and outgoing server??
 
I don't beleive you can use Thunderbird with anything other than POP3 services... I don't beleive any free services offer that. Well, Yahoo does, but I beleive it costs money :P

For instance, if your ISP is acme.com:
Incoming server: pop.acme.com
Outgoing server: smtp.acme.com
Simple as that:)

I'm usimg Gmail with Mozilla Thunderbird
 
Tools > Account Settings; Click Outgoing Server (SMTP Settings) Click Edit, then you can cahnge the port number. It defaults to 25 so my guess is its not that problem
 
hello im still having trouble with thunderbird. I can recieve emails but not send them. I ve been told to change the port to port25. My question is how do you change the port. Thanks in advance.
