MP3 Hard Drive Failure

Hey guys,

I am at my wits end here, my MP3 Player will not be detected by my computer the mp3 just keeps saying that there is "HDD Format Error" now the manual tells me to click on it in my computer and click format etc. BUT ITS NOT THERE

So Im asking what you would do in case of something such as an External HDD would not be detected.....

Its a logik mp3 player and its connected via USB I have tried it on other computer and it just does not detect it

Odd problem... Maybe you could find a drive converter(it's probably a 1.8 or 2.5" drive) and connect it that way, trying to format it outside the player...

Okay a little development, watching Device Manager, it detects USB Mass Storage Device but it wont come up as a removeable disk on my computer and I cant access it in anyway

It says there are no drivers installed but they are installed off the CD I get and the MP3 Player when you connect it (so you have two ways of doing it)

Im most confused

AH... maybe we won't have to go so far ;) Have you gone to computer management(right click my computer and manage) then disk management and checked to see if the drive was listed there?

Nothing there either? Well darn... Can you tell the drive even spins up? It sounds like it might of died. Heh, perhaps we should go back to my first suggestion ;P
