MP3 player problem

I'm not sure whether this is the right section for this, it may have to do with the software maybe not. My brother has gotten a few MP3 players, all of which have failed to show up on 'My Computer' when we insert it into the USB drive. The drive has no detectable problems or at least any I can find, and has worked in the past with other players. The Mp3 player is a Sony Aura A1000, with six gb. The operation sytem of our comp is windows 2000. Thanks for the help.

Have you tried to connect the mp3 player to a pc running winows XP?Have you installed any drivers?Have you read the player's manual?maybe you need to install a driver for win2000.

yes.. i dont think win2000 includes Drivers for a 6gb MP3 player,.. since they wernt out at that time. did a CD come with the MP3 players?
