I will be encodeing a movie into MPEG 6
it has two settings Divx or H264

I thought H264 was the best out off these I don't realy know I want the best qwuality

h264 is a newer, much more technical compression format that can deliver much higher quality and color accuracy. Due to the more advanced technology built into h264, comparable qualities to divx can be offered at lower bitrates and much smaller filesizes! Conversely, much better quality can be achieved at bitrates comparable to Divx or higher.
