I've got K-Lite Codec Pack installed, very successfully I might add, except for the fact that when playing MPEG2 video files in RealPlayer, something interesting happens. It's hard to describe, but i'll do my best. Fast movement of the picture (i.e. fast camera movement during filming) causes a jagged effect to occur at the edges of objects in the picture, as if horizonal slices have been made and then deliberately misaligned. Im not sure how else to describe what I'm seeing.
This effect disappears when viewing the same footage through other codecs, such as Cyberlink's PowerDirector 3's codec. Assuming this is down to an individual codec, is there another codec you can recommend where this effect does not happen? And also how to remove the offending codec. Codec Sniper tends to come up with a German error message every time I load it - not sure why.
Cheers.
