How can I stop it from opening on startup? It's running in the background and whenever I try to end the process, it typically comes right back. Help!

open it u, go to TOOLS, OPTIONS, then GENERAL, untick the box that saysSTART ON WINDOWS STARTUP, or soemthing along those lines...

MSN Messenger or Windows Messenger? Either way, its Tools > Options > General . Uncheck the Automatically Run ....... When i Log Onto Windows

thanks guys. sorry for posting in the security section, too. i dunno what i ws thinking.
EDIT: ack! i did what you guys said, but it was already unchecked...yet still the app runs when windows boots (windows messenger). it's a little bit irritating.

Start > Run > Type Msconfig and press return. Startup > uncheck msnmgs (i think its that, its similar anyway)

msmsgs is the process name, and it wasn't in the list, but it's still a running process right now. obviously, something's wrong.
