MS Outlook - annoying beep upon email arrival

I have MS Outlook rules set to pop up a window and play the chime.wav sound when email arrives. However, it also plays that annoying beep sound that comes out of the tower (not the speakers).
How can I shut that one off.

BTW, my sound scheme in the control panel is already set to "no window sounds".

i don't think internal beep codes by your mobo can be shut down but the one for OUTLOOK can. Go to tools-->options..and search thru the tabs there

Although I have looked several times through the Tools--Options section and have not found anything, I took your advice to check it one more time and I finally found it - Thanks.

It is under Tools---options---preferences tab----Email options button----advanced email options button-----"play sound" was check marked.

Yeah, I've never been a big fan of how MS Outlook lays out their options menu. Some settings seem to be pretty buried in there.

Thanks again.
