Can someone please explain to me why the file viewer (the box that pops up when I click 'open' or 'save as') in MS Word for Mac won't let me edit my files at all? In MS Word for Windows, it lets you drag and drop files, delete folders, etc. Word for Mac only lets you create a new folder, nothing more. I know that all of these functions are available in the finder for Mac, but usually when I notice files out of place, stuff I don't need anymore, etc. it's when I'm opening a file in Word and it's a pain in the butt to have to go to finder afterwards and find the file again just to make one little change. Much easier to just edit as I go. I know this is a pretty insignificant and OCD-type pet peeve, but it's inconvenient and I can't see a logical reason for it seeing as it's a feature that is included in the same program on windows. Any thoughts?
