I've been looking at a lot of laptops the past couple months. Mostly I'm concerned with a good processor and plenty of memory. But it seems when I look for laptops with good processor and memory specs, it always comes with a 1TB hard disk drive. I don't need that much space. Even 320-500GB is overkill for me basically. I was gonna get an mSATA to SATA adapter anyway (this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812186184) to check to see if I still have accessible data on a mSSD from a laptop that was liquid damaged.
If I opt for a laptop with a bigger than I need hard drive, since laptops that come with SSD's are super expensive, can this or an adapter like it be used to swap in a mSSD? I realize laptops these days are getting more and more difficult to take apart, so I'd probably pay a repair shop to have it done. Thanks.
