P Phippsp New Member Oct 18, 2006 #1 I have a question that my friend is having a problem with. He has windows xp and SP1. Whenever he tries to open up msconfig in run it will show up for a split of a second then it will crash. Does anyone know how to fix this?

tlarkin VIP Member Oct 18, 2006 #3 wow sounds like some sort of spyware/malware that is disabling that feature so you could not disable the process. I would start by googling processes running in the background to see what they are and running your anti-spyware and anti-virus software

calumn New Member Oct 18, 2006 #4 Try downloading Hijack This and run a scan, after it has finished copy and paste the log here. It will show if there are any malware problems.
