In msconfig under the selective startup tab, how do you delete somthing from there? Not disable it, but delete it altogether.
 
to delete it you would have to go to add/remove , or delete it yoursself goin to directorie and deleteing it yourself....if your trying to delete windows messenger theres a secret to that;)

Thats a very broad statement.One example is it's part of something you need but not as handy.Thats how i remove unwanted quick start icons and crap.
So you'd have to uninstall something you want to run another way.
Just watch during installations and refuse all these unwanted items.
Some though like rundll32 i just disable.It's a system file.
 
I am trying to remove a messenger, just not MSN messenger. I've already uninstalled it but for some reason it's still in the msconfig. Just trying not to get caught, know what I mean?

I just learned how this was done recently but kind of forgot how.
Stand by.I'll be back.Maybe this isn't all you wanted though.But i tried.

You disable services via services.msc as shown above. But you delete them via the "sc" command from a dos prompt :)
