MSI 7600 GS Memory Clock 400mhz?

Im probably mistaken but I just bought a MSI 7600 GS finally and when i right click and go to properties it gives me the info and stuff...and on there it says 2d Core clock 400mhz....3d Core Clock 400mhz...and then Memory Clock is 400mhz? I thought the memroy clock was 800mhz on the 7600 GS?

my brother got the 7600GS and he told me it was 800mhz memory clock

yes, its DDR, so its 400x2=800

yep. 400mhz effectively performs like 800mhz for ddr memory.
its because it sends + recieves info at the rising and falling part of each cycles or clock. 400mhz = 400 million cycles per second.... two actions per clock is effectively 800mhz worth of performance.
