Well after lots of trying I got her up and running I took out everything one by one and after taking out a old PCI modem it boot up straight into Windows , looks like I had some faulty hardware ,

Well I am in Windows not all looks good but one thing every time I start or restart I get a message saying "CMOS settings wrong ........ Press F1 for setup or press F2 To load default settings" and no matter what I change in the BIOS I still get this message ,

And the Athlon XP 2000+ is showing up in Windows running at 1.25 GHz.

Check settings in your CMOS, make sure your booting off right drive, then yea thats right 1.25ghz for amd 2000+. 2000+ does not = the ghz by the way

I cant change anything in the BIOS when I save settings and it reboots I get the same press F2 to load defaults.

Isnt the Athlon XP 2000+ supposed to run at 1.667 GHz.

Sorry about the not editing posts. I was posting while trying to fix the Comp.

im not sure on exact thing but a amd athlon 2000+ does not mean its a 2000mhz, have you tried reseting the motherboard itself? (the lil jumper cable thing on mobo itself)

Yes I did I reset the Jumper and took out the Battery , I will replace the Battery today and give it a shot.
