MSI u230 and msata

Hello all. I have an MSI u230 netbook. I opened it up and saw that it has an spare mini pci-e slot. So, I bought an msata ssd to plug into it but when I do so, nothing happens. I don't see it anywhere in the bios nor do I see it in windows. I tested the drive out in a different computer and it works. Is there any way to get it to work in the MSI?

I was afraid of that. I guess I will just have to use it in the other computer. Do you know how I could use that slot? I haven't really dealt with netbooks and it already has a wireless card so I can't really think of what else I could use.
