msn 9

I think it's msn 9. Anyways on windows 7 I updated msn and now it takes two spots on the task bar and doesn't sit in the corner where it normally does when you exit out of the window. As far as I know there is no point for the two slots in the taskbar because they both operate the one contact list menu.

Can I change this or did microfags do something stupid?

So I went into the registry and knocked out msn but it keeps coming back when I restart my computer. I can't dowload an older version nor can I redownload the current version since it still thinks I have it. I went under add/remove programs and uninstalled windows essentials, which is what my brother said it's under, but it still thinks I have it. The only other option I can think of is reformatting, which would really piss me off just for msn -.-

I hate the look and feel of msn 9 I'm stickign with 8 untill they force me to upgrade then it's over to Pigeon full time.

Well according to my brother the new version went funky because they wanted you to not use messengerdiscovery live with it, but he's a compulsive liar so I'm not going to upgrade again and try it unless I can figure out how to set a restore point.

How do I set a restore point?

I like how in MSN Messenger 8 most of the window is the chat box. In MSN 9 yes it's all bubbly and cute but a lot less of the window is the text box which for a chat program doesn't work out so well. I don't care about the ad since it is a free program. Just don't want to have a huge ass windows to see my chat I never run it full screen. Pigeon is a good MSN Messenger clone that supports multiple clients and most features on the clients.

i have msn 9 its quite ok but very hard to use compared to msn 7/8 - messenger.

well not really the inteerface has changed a bit yeah...
but personally, live messenger 9 is the worst one msn version ive come accross to date... why ?
too many error

1. windows live communication platform error
2. service not available <-- 8 has this one but easy fix
3. contacts list not available
4. wrong proxy settings (though not using proxy and firewall is off)

why don't MS give us something that works ? you know, without having to apply so and so fix to it ?
