On my laptop, when I paste the heart symbol (♥) it works. I'm using a different computer (it's a desktop) and when I paste (♥) it turns it into block characters which look like: (本). Looks like a checkmark box or something. I've downloaded MSN 8.5 and it allows me to paste the heart symbol and it stays, but on my display name (on my contact list) it is a block character where the heart should be. In the conversation window, it the block character is different, tall skinny empty box. Kinda looks like one of the towers of the WTC, but very small of course. It also changes ♥ to 本 in the Internet title bar (or whatever it's called). The blue bar at the top of internet web browser which displays the page title (ex. Computer Forum - Windows Internet Explorer). How do I get it to display characters without the box charater thingie? Do I need to download a encryption pack or something? It is annoying.
MSN will allow me to paste the MSN emotion icons in my display name no problem. So for now, I have to use the MSN heart which is (L), but I like the I posted better.
I also copied the heart symbol and pasted it into paint, saved it and custom made it into an MSN emtion icon, but it will only post in the conversation window sinced it saved as a photo or something.
