MSN Problem

Hi all,

OK I have a problem.

I recently installed MSN 7.0.

I wanted to switch back to 6.2.

When I try to install 6.2 it says there is a later version - please uninstall that first.

When I go to add/remove programs and find MSN 7, and try to remove, it looks for a file which (i think) is called MsnMsgr.MSI. This file isn't on my system.

I've tried deleting all the MSN-related files, folders, and even registry entries. Not working.

HELP! I hate MSN 7!

well you need to download the msn messenger7 again, having the same version, try to repair it and then uninstall it.

Hi mate, i've tried that, but it downloads with the .EXE file instead of the MSI file. All the links I can find for the MSI file are dead, and when I use the EXE to uninstall, it still looks for the MSI file.

Regards
Doyle.

well i read in other forums that they downloaded the installation file and repaired the messenger, then they were able to uninstall it.
