multiple resolutions?

is there any way to set multiple resolution 'profiles'?
for example. i want my resolution to be 1440x900 but when my parents log in, is there a way to automatically set their resolutions to 1024x768? then when i log back in, it goes back to 1440x900...

thanks for any help
 
I use intel(R) extreme graphics 2 combined with Matrox, as i have a graphics card for the multi displays i use....but to the point, i can use an icon in the system tray and have different desktop schemes which allows me to change the resolutions with the click of a button......so i dont have to go into control panel and muck around if needed. Im not sure if you can use Matrox with out the graphics card.....im not into all the technical computer stuff.

But maybe this helps or someone else can add more info if this is an option for you that may work. I know it isnt changing the screen res as soon as you log in but for your parents if it annoys them or you depending on who controls the computer, this is a good option with minimal hassles.
