Multiple unrelated problems/terrible day...PLEASE HELP!

First of all, I have a Windows xp cd, but no key and I would just like to solve some very annoying issues.

First, I tried to get rid of Symantec antivirus, but it won't go away. I removed the program, but endpoint protection is still up and it still tries to perform scans. Meanwhile, I installed bitdefender because I though I was rid of Symantec, how do I get rid of it?

Second, a weird one, when I use google, while clicking on links, most of the time it will take me to a different link usually two times before it finally takes me to the correct site after clicking back and re-clicking the link.

Third, my keyboard is going awol. I have a Razer Lycosa with new firmware. All of a sudden, the keys often don't work. They also don't repeat when held. So yes, every time I need to capitalize something I have to hit shift and the key I wish to capitalize simultaneously, and it is getting worse and worse after about a week.

Lastly (I think and I hope), my Pioneer 115d drive won't recognize blank cd's or dvd's. I doubt it is the firmware, but I have downloaded the newest version, but I don't know what to do with the file, it looks like a rar file in a box. It is a self-extracting archive and it asks me where to extract, but I don't know where, and when I try it says "available target is not found". Anyways, any tips on why it won't recognize blank discs and how to fix it? I sincerely appreciate any and all help, as you can see...I need it. :(

Hmm... ok click the "browse" botton and go to the folder where the antivirus is installed (in most cases it should be in C:\Program Files\ ) then click "Ok".

Hey can you tell me what version you have?

Actually, I believe I have gotten rid of Symantec finally. I did want to run Malewarebytes; however, it won't open, it just shows a loading icon for about a second, then nothing. I tried to boot to safe mode to try to use it, but when I tap f8, it won't work. I also heard you could go to msconfig and enter the boot tab, but of course, mine does not have that tab. Any suggestions?

Sounds like your installation is corrupt or you are badly infected since Malwarebytes won't run. Try slaving the drive in another system and run a virus scan on it. Hopefully it will detect and delete the offending file so you can put it back in original system and do more scans with Malwarebytes and Combofix.

That sounds really good to do. I tried to find different solutions but the one i gave it's the best one so far i found. The others are you have to delete registry keys and edit them, which is very dangerous if you dont know what your doing. It can mess up your computer.

I still have that problem with Malwarebytes not opening and google getting hijacked, and updating the Pioneer 115d firmware and having it tell me target not found/the drive won't recognize blank disks.

Well, Um my Suggestion on Running Malwarebytes is Right click it's icon, go to Properties, Click on Compatibility Mode Tab, change it to run in Win98. Not sure how to say it, thats How I remember making it work 1 month ago.
