hi you guys...

just wondering if it is possible to have like 3-4 dvd rw in one pc case and have them burning same time?

if so what spec would you be lookin at

cpu
psu
motherboard
ram
cooling etc??

just currious as there has been times when ive had a dvd off my video recorder put it on my pc and a few of my friends said they wanted a copy so i had to do like 5 copys one by one......

thanx

You'll probably want to get a tower of DVD burners. They plug in to your computer and you set them to burn the same thing continuously. One friend I have has one of said units and he says it's saved him no end of time.

how do they plug in?

im gussing that it will be a seperate tower with own power suply?

do they sell these towers anywhere or build them yourself stuff?

many questions lol

you could just get a case for your computer with 8 or 9 slots for cd-roms and fill it

you can daisy chain scsi connections, and controll all of them at once

how much would that cost for a new bigger case plus the drives and bigger psu??

i think that that would be a better option if i had a bigger case and psu but would prob cost more than a stand alone 1-7 unti £140

you could get a nice full tower case for $129-150

and dvd-recorders are as cheap as $20 a piece now.

I got my samsung 18x burner for $39, and you can get a really nice liteon one for $29

power supply's up to you. Theres cheap ones, theres good ones, i don't think dvd-recorders really use that much power.

still though-i would hav to pull pc to bits-

if it was gonna save me £50 i would do it that way no problem but i think the all in 1 units would be cheaper...

i use liteon dvd drives anyway-my friend has had 3sony to my 1liteon and his was 4 times more expensive than mine lol

liteons are nice, they implement alot of the older plextor technology, which would lead me to believe their controller cards are made by plextor.

they have a lot of things like intelligent recording, and can automatically create new burning schemes for discs that are not already in the firmware

newer plextors are the best of the best, tho. unreliable, but FAST. My 16x plextor could burn at 12-16x on even cheap 4x media, and do a better job than most burners could even dream of,.
