Multitasking with an AMD

Ok, well i've chosen the Athlon64 3700+ San Diego for my first build. :D However i'm still a bit curious about its multitasking abilities, because i've heard that amd's tend to slow down during multitasking. I'm definately going to game on this thing, but will do multitasking such as, run iTunes, Firefox, Aim, and sometimes Photoshop at the same time. Is this considered intense multitasking that will slow the processor down?:confused: (i will probably oc it to ~2.4):D
 
Your CPU will easily handle that, those programs (besides photoshop) hardly use any cpu resources, so when your using photshop it wont really matter if those programs are running.
 
Ok, kool. yea, i just checked the cpu usage while running those 3 prograsm(on my current comp), the system idle was at 99-97:D thankx:cool:
 
yea, put two hard-drives in RAID 0 :) that'd help performance in all applications and also get like 2gb of ram dual channel... that would be nice :)
