i can either get a 3200+ or an x2 3800+.
Most likely, I'll be running two monitors, with WoW on one and internet/music/whatever on the second. Though, I won't even be playing WoW every day. If this is the case, do I really need the x2 3800?

even if you dont play WOW everyday itll help with the internet/music/watever

adn the X2 3800 aint that much.and if you wait awhile the prices will really drop letting you get like a 440 or 4800
 
or you could get a conroe instead
just wait a little while

but as for your question
the 3800+ would be a better choice
 
You cant be playing a game on one monitor, and browsing the web/listening to music on the other. Since games will either be extended on both monitors, or cloned. And you only have control for one mouse, so once you try clicking on a website link, you may be doing something you dont want to in the game.

But for multi-tasking, the X2 3800+ would be much better.
