Hello,
i'm going to buy the following computer:

AMD Phenom II X4 940 Black Edition Box
Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-US2H
Seagate ST31000333AS 3.5" 1000GB SATA2 32MB
Mushkin DDR2 4096MB (2048MBx2) 800Mhz CL 4-4-4-12 XP Gold
Antec Three Hundred
Corsair CMPSU-400CX 400W
Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD4770 512Mb DDR5

Mushkin's ram requires 2.1V.
Gigabatye's Mother board support 1.8V (the standart DDR2 voltage...).
is it a problem?

which one is better:
Mushkin DDR2 4096MB (2048MBx2) 800Mhz CL 4-4-4-12 XP Gold
Mushkin DDR2 4096MB (2048MBx2) 1000Mhz CL 5-5-5-15 XP REDLINE
G.skill DDR2 4096MB 800MHZ PI Black Dual Chanel CL4-4-4-12

sygate's HDs had problems is the past. is there a known problem with my HD?

thank you.

Gal.

The Memory should be fine. The board just supports voltage down to 1.8V. If it boots at 1.8V it will just run the memory speed and timing at its SPD at 1.8V. Just go into the bios and set the Voltage/Timing/Speed manually.

Well, the lower the timing the better. But the memory with lower timing, if they just jacked up the voltage to get better timing its just a marketing game.

Used alot of Seagates for a long time and never knew they had a problem in the past.
