Music on an Ipod

Is there any way to put music on a crappod from a windows pc w/o I tunes? (I don't own an Ipod, asking for someone else)

No, because a "crappod" doesn't exist.

There are some alternatives to iTunes that can put music on an iPod, but they all don't work as well as iTunes.

Clementine (personal favorite)
Songbird
Sharepod (haven't tested this one)

You can also find more stuff here, but not all of them are able to transfer stuff between an iPod and a PC.

I hate Apple for a variety of reasons but I still use iTunes because it's still a pretty good program. It's easy to transfer stuff and it doesn't have to be in the iTunes format. MP3 files work just fine. However you can't play audio files on an iPod that isn't compatible with iTunes.

I like Apple stuff but I hate iTunes. It's easy to transfer stuff to your iPod and crap, but it's horribly bloated and slow. If I didn't have an iPod I'd happily nuke iTunes from my computer.

with iOS 5 and beyond (not sure about 4 as I never had it), it is possible not to have itunes on the computer. The song store can retrieve all your songs right on the ipod.

That only helps if you buy all your music through iTunes, and I definitely don't. And yeah, it's iOS 5 and up.

Well, I assumes you buy from iTunes. :/ Most of my music is from them, so it never dawned on me that you might have it form other sources.
