Am looking to spend approx $1000-$1200(NZ) on a computer solely for producing music. Programs used include Reason, Soundforge, Acid, (lots of multitasking, and would need lots of storage space for music samples etc.) Any ideas on a suitable desktop computer, (or components to build one) that would maximise perfomance without having to buy unnecessary parts like flash video cards etc? - Won't be used for internet, movies, wordprocessing. Am thinking I may have to build (or get one built) as my needs are quite specific. What do you think?
