Must Install Applications on Newly Installed OS.

I'm trying to install various software applications on newly installed OS.
Till now, could only think of VLC and Adobe Acrobat apart from the browsers.
I guess, the drivers and others need not be installed for a OS upgrade.

Can anyone list out the applications that needs to be installed on a new system??

That's true. I'm finding one after the other by taking time.

I think OS these days come with almost all that is required for a regular use.
