mutiple monitor help

Hello All!

I have a nvidia 9800 GX2

My setup rigth now is single monitor + i have a hdmi cable running to my flat screen... i was wondering if i cud get one more monitor? it looks like my vga is capable?

just need clarification!

I don't think you can get 3 monitors on that card. I think the 5800 series is the only technology you can get 3 monitors on.
 
ok..it looks like theres one more port i can plug another monitor cable into? im running one monitor threw hdmi cable not vga cable

You should be able to get 2 monitors on there. I'm running a VGA and a DVI cable off my 9800GTX+. I got the adapter plug with my Video card - but you can buy em on ebay - or from newegg for a few bucks.

If you use the HDMI plug - It's my understanding that you can only run one of the other two DVI - totalling 2 displays.

Yup 5800 series is the only card that can run 3 monitors. Unless, you are using a TH2GO: http://techgage.com/article/matrox_triplehead2go_digital_edition/
 
I run multiple screens on a 9800GT... it's bound to work on an X2.

3 monitors at once with a span view? No, I dont think so

Using 3 monitor at once and using 3 monitors together are two different things

Seperate: Mirrored image

Together: Span view
