My Beloved ATi Radeon X1550 is breaking down?

the 2.1 and 2.0 pci-e interface doesn't matter, you have x16 so it should have plenty of bandwidth. also i don't think the memory matters either as it is the gpu using it not the motherboard i guess, not too sure there.

soo, could HD 5570 work in my pc?
im thinking about upgrading RAM from 512mb to maybe 2gb. DDR2.....
and the 2.1 could work on x16?

yeah, it all looks fine. and do you mean the computer's ram from 512 to 2gb's cuz that's probably a good idea.

I'd go with the GT520, it seems to be a bit faster than the 5570. They are close in certain areas, but what surprised me most is the nvidia card having less power draw than the radeon one.

The charts arent definitive

You have to go on actual gameplay benchmarks rather than synthetic ones, as chances are you wont be running those sorts of programmes.

but anyway, i think im gonna buy the:
Club 3D (AMD/ATi) Radeon HD 5570
and some more RAM (512mb --> 2gb)

what site or whatever are you looking at, i've never heard of that company, stumbled over them a few times online, but i guess it would be good to look them up to make sure they aren't just crap.

and mike, where are some game benches as i was never able to find any and when you look up benches for one then the other there canbe issues with the cpus and other hardware

MultiTronic? (it's a finnish computer and computer parts selling webshop.. i've buyed stuff from there before, so it isn't crap...)

you mean stuff from the site or from club 3d or whatever, not saying they are bad but generally a less common brand will have less funding and less quality, especially when their cards cost less than most other equal cards.

now to the RAM...
i got three options (the highest up is the one im mostly thinking to buy):
http://www.multitronic.fi/showprod.php?prod_id=KVR800D2N6/2G&b=1 2GB 800MHZ DDR2 NON-ECC CL6 DIMM
http://www.multitronic.fi/showprod.php?prod_id=VS2GB800D2&b=1 CORSAIR DDR2 2GB DIMM 800MHZ CL5
http://www.multitronic.fi/showprod.php?prod_id=VS2GB667D2&b=1 CORSAIR DDR2 2GB 667MHZ CL5

i should take the one highest up?
(don't start telling me i should take some else RAM... i will take one of these.. that's it!)

took a vid of my GPU.. there you can see what i mean with it breaking down... i hope i get the vid uploaded this weekend

To be honest, you will never be able to use the 2gb effectively, go for the cheaper option.

The gt440 is a basic entry level GPU.

As for ram i would go for this, http://www.multitronic.fi/showprod.php?prod_id=VS2GB800D2&b=1.

That said rather than spend your money, would you not rather just buy a new pc, i mean even 2gb of ram and a gpu like the gt440 isn't going to boost your computer by much.

the 2gb ram will definitely help, but you will by no means be gaming or anything like that.

It will still be a web surfing/ watching dvd's computer.

oh sorry, forgot to update this thread:
ill have to use my elder HardDrive... bcuz my budget already got a little bit over, (okay, more like 100e)
so by other words...
BOUGHT AN WHOLE NEW COMPUTER!!! (except couple of parts... but lets not talk about them :P)

Eh...:/ so how come you were still asking about a gt440 and 800mhz ddr2 ram?

Or have a i commented on a post that should have bene buried haha
