My case is huge

I just got all my parts for my first build....I didn't put much thought into the size of the case, considering i ordered a midtower atx size case....This thing is a lot bigger than I thought...It won't even fit into the CPU spot on my desk....

Altho the board is ATX, there are smaller cases.

You can't really go much smaller. You have an ATX motherboard. Most of the cases that will fit full ATX boards are going to be about that size. I wouldn't return it.

your motherboard is a standard atx i dont think it would fit into a micro atx case, you would have to return it all and get all micro atx gear or try and find a mid tower that it lower and narrower to fit within your dimensions of where you want to place it

But that's not much and there's probably a restock fee.

There are some mini towers that will go ATX, but you wouldn't want to go there at this point.
