I doubt it would of been anything to do with you unpluging your PC for 2 months mayeb you did something before you went on holiday that messed it up? Try and remember..

Can yout boot in safe mode?

Make sure that the power cable is properly hooked up. still same problem, check each stick of RAM you have by taking all other sticks(of ram) out. Still same problem, try out a different hard drive. Thats all I can think of right now.

most likely the battery is flat, i always take it out if i leave my unplugged for more than a week, have a look in radio shack or online for one, they have a 6 digit on them check the code and get one (the code should be CR2032)

I just recently had the same problem with my parents' computer. It would start loading then restart. I took the time to test the individual parts, and what it turned out being for me was the ram. One of the two ram sticks was having a problem that was causing it to do that. I put a new ram stick in and it started working again. I recommend testing the ram to make sure it's good. If there's two ram sticks you can test them on your own. Just take on out and turn it on then do that with the other. You might get lucky.

That can keep the computer from booting? I know that I had my compter unplugged for a long time, left battery in there and it was fine....
