my computer and control panel display

my "my computer" and "control panel" have changed in display. i have got xp but now it doesn't have the blue background and i cant do certain things how do i change the display back?

up on the left sidebar there should be a button which says "Switch to Category View". Is this what you were talking about?

ok, I get it. Do this:

Go to control panel and click Tools
Go to Folder Options
Click the circle for "Show Common Tasks in Folder"
