My Computer Usually gets stuck

first of all i got pretty good computer..
dual core, each core 3 GHz.
GeForce 9600.
2000 Ram.
(thats the main components regarding my problem)..
when i play 3D games like WoW and Lineage2 my comp randomly gets stuck.
and by saying stuck i mean completly stuck, nothing helps except a restart.
i tried to solve this problem by replacing my Ram and replacing my video card, i also tried doing a format several times and running diffrent versions of XP..
but still, i got this problem... please help me..
 
OK, So this will tell exactly if your problem is hardware or software:
Use a process killer with a hotkey to terminate the game. When the game is stuck, press the hotkey(s). If nothing happens for like 30 seconds, its a hardware problem.
 
Check the minimum PC specs for the games and see if they meet your PC, if not, time for a new upgrade.
 
when the game gets stuck nothing helps, including the process killer - it doesnt respond to the mouse nor the keyboard.. and as i said, the one thing i can do is restart.

The game spec are much much lower then what i have.
and besides that, i got an other computer which has lower spec then mine.. and those games run their on low graphics altough the comp keeps running..
 
So its some hardware problem, for sure.
If its not the video card or ram, do you have an older processor you can put in? Or one from another comp?
 
did you clock this computer yourself, or did it come that way? what are the specifics of your motherboard, processor, RAM, etc... and what specific settings do each have?
