my system will be primarily for gaming, i don't see any reason in the future why i'd need to worry about video coding or anything with videos other than watch them. so far here is the build:

Things I'd like to know:
-total cost is $980, does this seem like a solid system for that price.
-is the ram, mobo and processor all compatible and best fit.
-any alternatives to some of my components that would make better performance without adding much to cost.
-any components seem weak or need to be revised.
