I have a 3-4 year old Dell Dimension 2350. I've just recently purchased a 512mb of memory to upgrade it to 768mb of memory and I am thinking of purchasing this 1 gig stick ---> http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1070726&sku=P45-1906
to replace the other 256mb that is stock on the computer, thus to make it 1.5 gig of memory. As well as the new ram I want to get a new video card and I made my mind up on this video card ---> http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1723244&sku=A177-3080

I am wondering if anyone else did or tried to do something such as this or knows anything about what I am about to do. I am looking for opinions, comments, help, tips (Do I need to do anything to the computer? Will my upgrades work? Is it worth it?)

My situation- I don't want to purchase a new computer and just want to play Counter-Strike and Day of Defeat on it.

Thanks for any help!</p>

-EDIT: There was this guy that was on the DELL FORUMS and he was saying that this computer's max memory capacity for both of its memory slots was only 1024mb. But I found this link saying it's max was 2048mb, 1 gig max per slot. http://www.memory-up.com/memory_finders/DesktopSelector.aspx?modelid=11007

haha, i try

i think it should be able to support 1GB per slot because i really don't see a reason why it shouldn't considering its not that old of a computer, but i think the other guys might be able to help you out a litte more

Iv done just about the same stuff to my Dell 2400, check it out in my sig for pics and the list of what iv done to mine. u can really make it a nice pc with some upgrades. mine runs games very smoothly. and i play cs and dod aswell, i have screen shots on my thread in sig. i also put in a the Radeon 9250 but mines the Xtasy version. and about the ram, iv got 1.25 gigs of ram in mine and its reads all of it. so theres alot u can do with ur Dell.

Have you considered getting a new computer? Usually the lowest end dells don't have any AGP or PCI-E slots.
